Esto Now, images of eight contemporary projects in New York City by six Esto photographers, was shown at the Center for Architecture in New York early in 2006. This exhibition was prepared after Esto had received the Oculus Award the previous summer at the 138th Annual Meeting of the New York Chapter of the American Institute of Architects:
Photography is the lens through which the public looks at architecture. Few have rivaled and none has exceeded the genius of Esto in capturing its lines, form, color and texture. Founded in 1966 by Ezra Stoller (1915-1999) , Esto is now home to a new generation of photographers headed by Ezra Stoller's daughter, Erica Stoller. New York-area based but with a worldwide following, the Esto professionals have worked beyond the limits of translating architecture into two-dimensional images, creating work that excels as art in its own right.
The show included one image of each project as a mounted enlargement and then a series of projected images.
