Felicella photographed the YCBA for the museum and for George Knight, the architect who has sensitively restored Louis Kahn 1977 building to a sparkling “original” state.

The renovation has won numerous commendations including: 2017 AIA Institute Honor Award for Architecture; 2016 AIA New England Honor Award for Historic Preservation and Adaptive Reuse; 2016 AIA New England People’s Choice Award; 2016 AIA Connecticut Honor Award; 2017 Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation Award; 2017 Society for College and University Planning Excellence in Architecture Honor Award for Building Additions, Renovation or Adaptive Reuse
