David was raised in St Louis, studied in New York and Paris and graduated from NYU with a degree in photography. Sundberg's work combines technical and compositional skills with a sensitive understanding of lighting, layering and transparency. His images convey the subject matter with liveliness and sensitivity.
Sundberg, shown here with his son, Arlen, joined the Esto group in 2000. He has a strong connection to the arts in New York City, having collaborated on video, film and still projects and having worked as a lighting technician and a cameraman. Now, concentrating on architectural photography, David Sundberg is working with digital photography, creating images with flexibility and freedom, on one hand, and technical control, on the other. |
